:: The Professional Diploma in Public Relations

The Professional Diploma course is an Integrated Approach to Public Relations. It is primarily targeted at people who wish to enter public relations as part of their career progression. The course is also suitable for those who are currently in the early stages of a communications related role (whether in-house or in a PR agency), but have not had any formal training. The professional Diploma in PR is specifically designed for those who aspire to manage the essence of reputation and perception in order to establish good relationships with key stakeholders. PR management is considered the key weapon in the armory of corporate communications and reputation management.

The course has been established since 1992 and the London School of Public Relations or LSPR is part of the David Game Media Group – established in 1974. LSPR is accredited by the International Association of Professional PR Trainers (IAPPRT). The aim of the Association is to improve standards of PR globally and ensure that best practice regarding PR and Reputation Management training is achieved. This pioneering teaching integration of both marketing communications and PR approaches by LSPR has since been adopted in over 10 countries. Since becoming a leading PR educational provider in the UK, LSPR is now the world’s largest independent education training provider in public relations.

LSPR client’s list includes both government agencies and private corporations such as the Qatar Armed Forces, Coco Cola Russia, MARS, BP, Barclay’s Bank, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Walt Disney Company, BBC, King’s College London and McDonalds restaurant just to name a few.

:: Entry Requirements


Credit in English at SPM / GCE ‘O’ Level or its equivalent / IELTS 6.0

  • Minimum of 21 years old
  • Degree holder in any field OR
  • Non-graduate with a minimum of 2 years experience in the business or commercial sector

In lieu of the above, candidates who do not satisfy the above requirement may be admitted via interview with the Course Administrator.

Total Course Duration : 15 weeks of 2 hours for each session.

• Media Relations I – The Different Types of Media
• Media Relations II: The Techniques
• Basic Finance and Business Operations in PR; Business Ethics (not examined)
• Special Seminar: Corporate Responsibility (CR)
• Developing and Presenting Plans and Proposals; Account Management
• Corporate Identity and Reputation
• Special Seminar: Corporate Affairs and Lobbying
• Brands and Brand Management
• Event Management and Sponsorship
• Risk, Issues and Crisis Management
• The Internet, ePR and m-Commerce
• Media Analysis/Evaluation; Market Research

:: Fees Structure


Course Fee – RM4,500 (includes BAC registration fee, resource, seminars and study materials) RM1400 (LSPR registration & assessment fee) – draft payable to Brickfields Asia Corporation Sdn.Bhd

Payment Mode – Bank Draft / Cheque /Credit Card / Cash. Easy payment scheme are also available.

Payable To – All cheques are to be made payable to Brickfields Asia Corporation Sdn.Bhd or Brickfields Asia College Sdn. Bhd

Course materials including study manuals and textbooks will be provided.

3 Assignments (2 Minor & 1 Major)

1 Written Examination (2 hour written paper)
- No examination candidate is allowed to re-sit more than twice.
