The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrator (MAICSA)

MAICSA, was founded in 1959 as an affiliated body to The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, United Kingdom. Membership of the Institute is limited only to members of the Institute residing in Malaysia, namely Fellows and Associates, Graduates and students. MAICSA as a premier professional body in company secretaryship and administration exists to serve the needs of the various sectors of society, in particular, the corporate sector. MAICSA aims not only to generate a cadre of professional and trained manpower but also acts as a catalyst for the growth and development of the commercial and industrial sectors of our country.

PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN CORPORTE ADMINISTRATION (PDCA)
  • PDCA serves as a feeder route to the ICSA International Qualifying Scheme (ICSA IQS).
  • Under the PDCA programme, students have to complete eight (8) subjects to obtain the Diploma. Upon completion, they can proceed to ICSA IQS.

  • Corporate Compliance and Practice
  • Law and Practice of Meetings

ADMISSION CRITERIA

 

  • Candidates with minimum entry requirements:-
    • 2 STPM Credits or A Level passes; or
    • Certificate in Corporate Administration; or
    • Matriculation / pre-university certificates; or
    • Recognised diplomas/advanced diplomas; or
  • Mature entry candidates:-
    • Minimum 21 years of age.
    • With relevant working experience or with a letter of recommendation from recognised bodies.

    • Students will be awarded a Professional Diploma in Corporate Administration and a post nominal of ProfDip.MAICSA upon completion of the PDCA programme.
    • Holders of PDCA can describe themselves as Certified Corporate Administrators after having obtained one (1) year of relevant experience.
  • Certificate of completion
    • Students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion upon completing PDCA Part 1.
  • Exemptions
    • Holders of recognised diplomas will be eligible for exemptions based on the subjects covered in their diploma.
