Blended Learning

What is Blended Learning?

Blended Learning refers to the use of the Internet and face to face delivery of subject materials, as well as the facilitation of interaction between and among students and professors. You also"attend" online classrooms, which provide course content and a variety of communication features, including message boards, threaded discussions and chat rooms. In short, Blended Learning refers to a combination of a virtual campus with the full benefits of traditional on-campus learning with the added benefits of being completely accessible any time, anywhere.

How do online/blended subjects work?

Each term is 3 months in duration and students are allowed a maximum of 3 subjects per term, plus an additional week for the final exam. A lead professor and subject professor will guide you through the subject content and exercises, which are completely online. The subjects cover all aspects of traditional, classroom-based learning through the creative use of a variety of communication methods, such as email, message boards, threaded discussions and chat rooms. You progress by actively engaging in reading, reflecting and interactive problem-solving, often in groups.

Blended Learning Advantages

What are the advantages of Blended Learning?

Blended Learning is student-centered, flexible and convenient mix of online and traditional face to face delivery. Furthermore with the ease of online delivery, the emphasis in the educational process shifts from teaching to learning. You do not have to follow a prescribed pattern and there is more scope for learning according to your own preferred style. In the online environment, everyone has an equal opportunity to participate in class discussions.

Is a Blended Learning program better than an on-campus program?

Our online/blended subjects offer the same rigorous academic standards and learning requirements as those of our U21 Global member universities. If your busy lifestyle does not allow you to attend on-campus classes, online education is an ideal solution. In addition, the educational experience gained from online subjects may be superior to traditional on-campus courses because the online interactive learning environment requires you to be more actively engaged in acquiring knowledge.
