How can I be sure that I can successfully pass the course?
• Your tutor will point out any weak areas and make suggestions
as to how you can improve.
• You can submit an assignment up to three times at no extra
charge.
• The course has been written and adapted to ensure that students
can work their way through the material in their own time and at
their own pace. There is no time limit to complete the course.

What do I do if I find something I can't understand?
You have unlimited access to a tutor while you are enrolled and
even when you complete the course we will help you with any questions
you might have about finding work etc.

How is my work for the Diploma marked?
• You simply send your completed assignments to your personal
tutor. There are two assignments for each of the four units.
• You will be given a grade for each assignment and your final
grade will be based on the average grade you earned.
• There are also some self-correcting exercises within each
unit that will help you to monitor your progress.
5) What do I do if I have questions that have
not been answered so far?

Is the course open to non-native speakers of English?
The course is available to both native and non-native speakers of

TESOL

What is TESOL?

What are the job prospects for EFL teachers?
English as a foreign language is a huge industry employing hundreds
of thousands of teachers in almost every country of the world. Your
tutors themselves have trained hundreds of teachers who are currently
employed in a wide variety of locations. An advance qualification
in TESOL allows you to work in a variety of second language teaching
contexts (public schools, universities, private language schools)
as well as in materials development, teacher training or program
administration.

Will I be able to cope with this course if I’ve not had formal
classroom teaching experience?
Yes you would be able to. This is because you would be given contact
hours with students in which you would have to teach a class for
your practical teaching sessions. Each session would be accompanied
with constructive feedback by your trainers. This experience would
help break the jitters and anxiety attacks formal classroom teaching.

What happens if my grammar is bad?
Most of us know the right grammar but it is just that we do not
know the terminology well.
Our job is to teach you the terminology in an enjoyable and easy
way. We assume you know nothing about grammar terminology when you
arrive, but leave with the basics you need to teach in a classroom
environment. This exactly is the same principle that you would use
in a classroom as an ESL /EFL teacher.

• It’s a specialized field of study – Focus is
on the specific learning needs and learning process of young children
• It is a specialization under the general field of Teaching
