| Masters
of Laws
(LLM) |
The
Master of Laws (by coursework) requires the completion of
eight units from the subjects list.
The
Master of Laws (by coursework and minor thesis) is an 8 credit
point course comprising six units from the subjects list and
a credit point thesis on an approved topic. The thesis will
not normally exceed 20,000 words.
Students
may include as part of their course a maximum of two credit
points chosen from the Master of Commercial Law course structure
(Commercial Law units and non-Law units). Students are precluded
from studying MLM720 Introduction to Commercial Law and MLC771
Law for Managers. |

Requirements |

| The
LLM is available to candidates who have completed four years
of tertiary study including an LLB or equivalent, and to candidates
with three years of tertiary study including an LLB or equivalent
plus qualifications and/or experience which, in the opinion
of the School of Law's Postgraduate Director, will enable them
to undertake the course satisfactorily. |

| The
LLM may be studied by coursework alone or by coursework and
minor thesis. In each of the units a significant piece of research
is undertaken and, for those undertaking the minor thesis, a
20,000 word research paper must be submitted. |
