THE INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED SECRETARIES AND ADMINISTRTOR (ICSA)
ICSA, the leading recognised professional body for Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in the United Kingdom and throughout the world. The Institute was formed in 1891 and was granted the Royal Charter in 1902, which set the seal of authority and royal recognition on that belief. Chartered Secretaries are qualified in company law, accounting, corporate governance, administration, company secretarial practice and management and are trained to chart a course through regulation, legislation and best practice in order to deliver effective operations. The Institute has 44,000 members and 28,000 students in over 90 countries.
The Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrator (MAICSA)
MAICSA, was founded in 1959 as an affiliated body to The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, United Kingdom. Membership of the Institute is limited only to members of the Institute residing in Malaysia, namely Fellows and Associates, Graduates and students. MAICSA as a premier professional body in company secretaryship and administration exists to serve the needs of the various sectors of society, in particular, the corporate sector. MAICSA aims not only to generate a cadre of professional and trained manpower but also acts as a catalyst for the growth and development of the commercial and industrial sectors of our country.
| THE PROGRAMMES |
| PROFESSIONAL DIPLOMA IN CORPORTE ADMINISTRATION (PDCA) |
- PDCA serves as a feeder route to the ICSA International Qualifying Scheme (ICSA IQS).
- Under the PDCA programme, students have to complete eight (8) subjects to obtain the Diploma. Upon completion, they can proceed to ICSA IQS.

ADMISSION CRITERIA
|
- Candidates with minimum entry requirements:-
- 2 STPM Credits or A Level passes; or
- Certificate in Corporate Administration; or
- Matriculation / pre-university certificates; or
- Recognised diplomas/advanced diplomas; or
- Mature entry candidates:-
- Minimum 21 years of age.
- With relevant working experience or with a letter of recommendation from recognised bodies.

BENEFITS |
- Post Nominal
- Students will be awarded a Professional Diploma in Corporate Administration and a post nominal of ProfDip.MAICSA upon completion of the PDCA programme.
- Holders of PDCA can describe themselves as Certified Corporate Administrators after having obtained one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Certificate of completion
- Students will be awarded a Certificate of Completion upon completing PDCA Part 1.
- Exemptions
- Holders of recognised diplomas will be eligible for exemptions based on the subjects covered in their diploma.

| ICSA INTERNATIONAL QUALIFYING SCHEME (IQS) |
- The IQS is an express route for holders of recognised Bachelor and Masters degrees who wish to take up the ICSA programme.
- Graduates from recognised universities are admitted directly into the Professional Part 1 programme.
- Entry for IQS is divided into two categories, namely Related Degree and Non-Related Degree holders.

BENEFITS |
- Method of Completion
- Degree holders may complete the subjects in the ICSA IQS Professional Part 1 Programme by way of attendance of 30 hours of CPE (Continuing Professional Education) seminars and assignments.
- Post Nominal
- Students will be awarded with Graduateship certificate and a post nominal of Grad ICSA upon completing ICSA IQS.
- Exemptions
- Related degree holders will be required to complete Professional Part 1 subjects by way of CPE seminar attendance and assignments for a maximum of 2 subjects.
- Non-related degree holders will be required to complete Professional Part 1 subjects by way of CPE seminar attendance and assignments for 4 subjects.
