It is the assignment, which covers all the aspects of the Core modules and gives the candidate the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the principles of the programme. TOP

What is the Management File?
The Management File is a portfolio of evidence compiled by the candidate through the programme. There are compulsory elements, but other items from the workplace and the course can be included to demonstrate a candidate's learning and progress. TOP

How is the Management File assessed?
The candidates complete a Student Assessment Record (SAR) as they complete the different elements of the File. The SAR is signed off by the tutor as each item is completed in accordance with CIE requirements. TOP

How are the certificates issued?
Certificates are issued for each module in which the candidate achieves a Pass or higher grade. No certificates are issued for the Case Study and Management File. Candidates can choose only those modules in which they are interested or they can study for the full Management Award. When the candidate has passed the 5 Core modules, one Optional module, the Case Study and the Management File, the full Executive Certificate in Management or Executive Diploma in Management is issued to the candidate. As each assignment is completed the candidate receives a Statement of Results and a report on the assignment. TOP

How do candidates receive assignment tasks?
Centres can download the assignments automatically by auto-email response. The codes for gaining access to the auto-email response are issued in a letter sent out to centres in response to the receipt by CIE of the centres provisional entry form. When candidates are ready for the completion of an assignment, the task is given to them by the centre. TOP
